When I saw Prada Mane and Little Pain perform three Thursdays ago at Palisades, I didn’t know what to expect. I knew I was going to be biased because I secretly root for them, but I never saw them in concert, so my opinion was also going to be fresh. When first introduced to the guys over the summer, our mutual friend started off the introduction by saying, “This is Little Pain and Prada Mane, but I know you already know who they are.” Dumbfounded, I said no and laughed thinking he was joking, but I was mistaken. He then explained that they were ‘real’ rappers and not like the many Brooklyn kids going through a rap phase. Intrigued, that same night I went to the web in hot pursuit of their music. Surprisingly, they were both really good. Both so different but yet so similar, they each had their own unique sound. Little Pain represented the cool, aggressive side of the sad boy movement with songs like SMH and High Cry, while Prada Mane came off  artsy with songs like Whathu Wanna ft. Yung Lean and Celebrity. 

Already being familiar with their music, I was lowkey, excited for the show. When I arrived, I  immediately saw our friends in the crowd. I pushed my way to the front and caught Little Pain right as he went on. He was high on energy and immediately started pumping up the crowd. Cracking jokes on stage, his performance wasn’t only entertaining it was enjoyable. He performed Tommy Strawn, my personal favorite last and the crowd went crazy, starting a mash pit expressing their excitement for the last song of his set. After Little Pain, Prada Mane took the stage. Prada Mane came on stage grinning ear to ear and a little gone. He started of his set with some of his older stuff. The crowd was vibing, mesmerized with his beats, unaware that Prada Mane made most of them.  The highlight of his performance was the fancy foot work he blessed the audience with which shocked me because I had no idea he could dance! After he closed the concert, I proudly congratulated both rappers for a great show then, we went to Popeyes. A kooky end to the very fun concert!
