Upcoming artist, Olawumi, has released her first ever music video for her new single titled “Alone.” Some may find the song title surprisingly misleading after watching. The new video is vibrant and energetic, a refreshing shift from the all too similar R&B music videos we are used to seeing.

In a statement from Olawumi she explains: “I had a lot of fun making this video. We wanted something fun, funny, and real. I feel like a lot of the time my music is too sad, or too serious for a fun video, so I was excited to finally kick back and be my other self; the silly, colorful Olawumi. Sometimes we have to kick “Ola-gloomy” to the side and bring the energy through the screen. It was truly an intimate experience that displays who I really am.”

Her music, which can be found on soundcloud, proves that she has mastered her sound as an artist. However, now the singer has created a unique aesthetic to match her bold soulful voice. Her confidence radiates in the new video and it is sure to put a smile on your face. 🙂 And not to mention… the girls got some moves!

From the looks of it the singer has discovered a vibe that is true to herself. We cant wait to see what else the future holds for the young, talented artist.
