Maria Borges, made headlines back in 2015  for being the first black woman to rock her natural fro on the Victoria Secret Show runway. Maria Borges, continues to break beauty barriers, as she was recently announced as the newest face of L’Oreal Paris.

 “This means the world to me,” Borges said in a press release from the brand.”I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can be an international beauty symbol and be living proof that our dreams are valid, and the future ahead of us is bright”, she said.  

The 24-year-old, Angolan model, has graced several high fashion runways  including: Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la  Renta, Givenchy, and Versace. Borges, has brought her career to the next level. While, bringing the conversation of beauty diversity to a public platform. We look forward to her work with L’Oreal Paris.

Borges joins other L’Oréal faces Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Doutzen Kroes, and Liya Kebede.
