Ice Spice is in her winning season! Word on the street is that the femcee is taking her talents to the big screen. Ice Spice will make her acting debut alongside acting legend Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s new film, “High and Low,” per Variety. The film is a reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 crime thriller of the same name. In addition, it will be the first time Washington and Lee have worked together since “Inside Man” in 2006. Apple and A24 have already begun production on the film.
2023 has been huge for the artist, as she received four Grammy nominations, collaborated with Alexander Wang, had a hit song alongside Nicki Minaj for the “Barbie” movie, and has dedicated herself to improving her stage presence. The rapper is also gearing up to release her debut studio album, “Y2K.”
When Spice makes her film debut, it will undoubtedly open new doors and opportunities for the artist. That said, her career trajectory shows that the sky’s the limit when you remain laser-focused on your goals.
