Find a Partner

A friend is going to keep you motivated and hold you accountable. Music can turn any task into a good time. Curate a playlist full of songs that make you feel like that girl and hit the pavement. A good set of songs can completely distract you from the workout. As we saw in Nike Unexpected Run, your main strength is mental perseverance – not your speed. It is okay to take it easy. Start with a couple of blocks and increase as you get more comfortable. You will be surprised by the unexpected endurance you will build up. Focus more on the freeing aspects of running, the scenery, the music, your company. As a beginner, rather than achieving high athletic standards, tap into the freeing nature of a run.
