Dylan Ali’s Capricorn Mix is her latest release from her ASTROLOMIX series.
The ASTROLOMIX series is a collection of mixes that Dylan Ali compiles based off of the zodiac signs. Dylan picks out artists from each Zodiac sign, chooses her favorite song from them, and mixes it into a well diverse tape. The music can be from any genre which makes these mixes truly unique. Dylan is releasing her Capricorn mix exclusively on MEFEATER.com.
Dylan Ali grew up as the girl you handed the aux to, with no question.
Dylan Ali, who you might know by her previous stage name, Dylan The Gypsy, changed her moniker to symbolize a turning point in her life. Ali started to DJ as a way to pay her extra bills. She was studying in college at the start of her career and wanted OUT of the dorm life. So, she needed another side hustle. She was already the girl you gave the aux to, so she capitalized off of her talents and took her dj’ng more seriously.
According to Dylan, it was easy to establish her name through the black community as a woman DJ.
She started to throw and DJ house parties in Brooklyn, establishing her name within the community. She was then booked at a bar called The Flat, where she met different promoters who would lead her to book major events and parties. From there, her name started to spread among Brooklyn’s underground music industry.
Dylan Ali’s biggest influences include her sisters and best friends from high school along with Kaytranada. She also admired the works of producer Madlib,
“Madlib has the most brilliant ears and he sticks to his DJ roots.”
In 2018 Dylan plans to focus on producing more heavily, acting, perfecting beats, and also planning to get back to school. Every month you can catch Dylan Ali at her exclusive party, Pink Honey, which is hosted at Kinfolk 90. Also, fans can also look forward to Dylan’s Dick Appointment Part 2 mix which is to be released in the near future.

I listened to my own mix and it was true to my sign.
Dylan Ali’s versatility when it comes to her ASTRLOMIX series will leave you amazed. I listened to my own sign’s mix, Virgo, and I loved it. I spent the whole night listening to all of the ASTROLOMIX Series, which is available on SoundCloud. My mix started and ended with the most iconic Virgo of all time, Beyonce. It then featured artists like; Lil yachty, SKEPTA, Nas, Bone Thugs in Harmony, and of course, the most iconic Virgo, Micheal Jackson. Again, her ability to mix different sounds is incredible and beyond pleasing. Anyone can find a new song through one of her mixes.
